Food and Nutrition Project by Class IV | Learning by Doing

Class IV students explore food, nutrition, classification and communication through an activity-based project.

The Food and Nutrition Project by Class IV shows how a familiar daily topic can become a structured learning experience. Children already see food at home, in markets and at school; the project helps them classify, compare, question and explain what they observe.

Learning by doing

When students handle examples, prepare charts or models and describe food groups, they connect vocabulary with real objects. This supports science understanding as well as language, organisation and confidence.

ANUBHAV: purposeful activity-based learning

This video belongs to ANUBHAV — Academic & Experiential Learning. The aim is not to make every lesson a large project, but to select meaningful activities where children actively observe, create and communicate.

Parent conversation prompts

After watching, families can discuss balanced meals, local seasonal foods, food waste and the difference between occasional treats and everyday healthy choices. The conversation should encourage awareness rather than fear or judgement about food.
